July 2011 – Just five years after being founded, Trio Healthcare Group has joined the elite selection to be awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for their outstanding achievement in international trade, after quadrupling their export earnings over the last three years.
Manufacturing a range of life-changing medical devices, Trio Healthcare’s adhesive removers, skin barriers and gelling and odour control sachets are now used by patients across the globe for preventing serious skin conditions resulting from prolonged or permanent contact with medical adhesive products, where fragile skin is prone to breakdown and infection.
The award – the highest official UK award for British businesses – recognises their achievements, and puts the company among the most successful of businesses in the UK with an export network that spans over 20 countries across Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia and the USA.
Trio’s directors, John Chacksfield and Lloyd Pearce, will attend a reception with the Queen at Buckingham Palace on July 14th. Speaking about the accolade, Group Chairman, John Chacksfield said:
We’re delighted. Our team has worked tirelessly to make the company a success; developing a robust international strategy and creating a network of distribution partners around the world. To gain recognition at this level is a real pleasure, and a credit to the hard work of all our staff and those who have supported Trio since its inception.
Working with Medilink Yorkshire & Humber and UK Trade & Investment to develop their international reach, Trio’s distributors are exclusively appointed for their ability to penetrate export markets and the company ensures each one becomes an integral part of its global team.
With the addition of several new products to its portfolio and having recently opened a US division of the business, the company is planning to double its export turnover in the next year.
